Pelican Peak Villa
West-End Tortola, Virgin Islands, British, United Kingdom VG1010

This comfortable home is named 'Pelican Peak' and it is has been our family dream home for many years.
A five-minute rural winding road with some radical switchbacks brings you up to the house, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking Little Apple Bay at the western part of the small island of Tortola.
The property consists of two houses; the main house and a guest house. Together they can accommodate six adults and including children, a total of 8 people.
The villa is equipped with every amenity you need to make your stay perfect. The land covers one acre and will guarantee your privacy and peace.
There is a beautiful pool (22ftX15ft) to cool you during the daytime or in the evening under the stars.
The property is fenced, and there is a gate that leads to a gravel driveway covered on one side in bougainvillea where you without difficulty can park three cars.
The garden around the villa is beautifully landscaped; you will find all sorts of lovely Caribbean flowers and fruit like bananas, limes, star fruit, sugar apples, and pineapples.
The house is only suitable for children from 6 years and older that can swim; in the guest house is a bunk bed for children and upstairs in the main house is a lovely bedroom. Around the house is plenty of grass, space, and shade.
Pelican Peak is a private and peaceful villa in a beautiful residential location. Enjoy our villa as if you were at home, but do this respectfully and peacefully so as not to disturb other residents in the immediate area.
The main villa has two bedrooms, a master bedroom with a king bed downstairs and a second big bedroom with two queen beds upstairs.
The master bedroom has an attached outside bathroom with impressive views of many surrounding islands and the azure Caribbean waters.
An authentic spiral staircase leads up to the second bedroom, which has a dark wooden floor, high ceiling, and is attractively decorated. The views from this bedroom are stunning, overlooking the Jost Van Dyke channel, which is dotted with small islands such as Green Cay, Sandy Spit, and Sandy Cay. Note: The bathroom for this bedroom is at the bottom of the stairs.
All bedrooms have air conditioning, which is much appreciated in the summer months. The living room and kitchen are fully open (but screened) to the veranda, usually cooled by a lovely trade wind.
The master bedroom and the living room/open kitchen have large wooden doors that open up the whole wall onto a verandah, where you find a second living area with a dining table that seats up to eight people and a relaxing sitting area.
Because most of the living room/kitchen is open to the deck, the veranda and the main house feels like one space.
The guest house is separated from the main house by a swimming pool and lawn. There is a king bed and bunk beds. The bunk beds are not in a separate room, but in a divided area, so we suggest these beds are only used for children. The guest house bedroom has a beautiful bathroom with a double sink, a shower, and outside, a second shower with striking views of the surrounding islands and the blue Caribbean waters. Also, the guest house has large wooden doors that open entirely from floor to ceiling, so while reading a book on the king bed, you enjoy the beautiful sunsets that you can expect to see here every day.
You can optimally enjoy your privacy at Pelican Peak; in principle, the villa is only cleaned after check-out. If you stay for seven nights or longer, a midweek cleaning service will be offered to you free of charge. The towels will be changed as part of this service, and the bedsheets will be changed weekly.
Guests need to provide their own meals. We can provide you with information for a private chef on request.
From anywhere within the main villa, the guest house, outside on the deck, swimming in the pool, relaxing on the daybed or sitting elsewhere in the garden you will be able to see far and wide across the Caribbean Sea while you are listening to the waves breaking on Little Apple Bay’s beach.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the house. Please email us.

Our family of 5 just returned from a wonderful 7 day holiday experience in Tortola. Willem's Pelican Peak property was exactly as presented on VRBO. Charming, comfortable, private, Pelican Peak has spectacular views and feels very much a home vs a rental property. The home was the foundation of our trip, even the kids (ages 19, 17 & 14) were anxious to get back to Pelican Peak to simply relax after a day of island exploration. Quality family time was what we were seeking and Pelican Peak facilitated this to the max! Highly recommend.
We located this Villa over the Internet. Upon arrival we found it spacious with breathtaking views from any where outside and inside the villa. There is a nice garden around the home and the crystal clear pool. All bedrooms overlook the ocean and the numerous islands. The beautiful Caribbean breeze kept us from ever using the A/C. Because of the beautiful weather we did not utilize much inside (living rooms). The villa is equipped with a nice cook's kitchen for those who wish to dine there. Also, there is TV and music equipment which we never turned on. Lynn the property manager was most gracious with travel directions and restaurant suggestions. While taxis are available, you need to rent a 4X4 car to get to the home and for those wishing to see more of this beautiful island. In summary, we are planning to come back next year and would not hesitate to highly recommend this villa.
The pictures did not do the villa justice!!! A beautiful house with views over the white beaches and the different islands by day and the Milky Way by night is breathtaking. This home has the perfect amount of privacy without feeling completely remote. Beaches are all almost in view from the veranda, Smugglers is the best and great for snorkeling. Everything we needed was available and in really good condition. The West-End of Tortola is beautiful not busy and we never have to wait at a restaurant. Everyone was genuinely friendly and would take time to answer any questions or offer suggestions. In the evening, plan to hang out on the veranda and pick out constellations since there is not a lot going on on the island otherwise but that's part of its charm! We would definitely stay here again.
As avid world travelers our hearts swelled and our jaws dropped upon our arrival to the natural stunning simplicity and tranquility of Pelican Peak. The house and adjoining guest house were extremely cozy and comfortable and provided us and some visiting friends peace and a sense of well being. The house was immaculate and well cared for. Lynn, the property manager was both helpful and friendly and very easy to locate whenever we had any concerns, however minor they may have been. Our month in Tortola at Pelican's Peak will always rate at the very top of our list in value and satisfaction when we compare the over 30 trips we had made all around the world in the last 11 years. We would go back in a heartbeat just as soon as we feel the call of the Caribbean in our sails. Hal and Val, Miami Beach, Florida
